NBSC takes a step towards PRIME – HRM Accreditation
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), under the leadership of Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, facilitated an orientation on January 7, 2025, towards achieving CSC PRIME HRM Accreditation.
The event featured Ms. Maria Cristina Gorgonia T. Saligumba, Acting Director II of the Civil Service Commission (CSC)—Bukidnon Field Office, as the Resource Speaker for topics on Recruitment, Selection, and Placement (RSP) and Learning and Development (L&D). The afternoon session was with Miss Dharyl Jean Indino, Senior HR Specialist, CSC RO Bukidnon Field Office, to deliver topics on Performance Management (PM) and Rewards and Recognition (R&R).
Held at the Student Welfare and Development Center (SWDC), the orientation gathered NBSC administrative and academic heads. The session aimed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and understanding of the requirements for the PRIME HRM Accreditation process, including crucial aspects such as database management, system review, and the documentation needed for evaluation.
Dr. Ganiera shared her aspirations during the orientation in her opening message.
“I am hopeful that each of you here will help me with our HR personnel as we embrace PRIME HRM and eventually enhance our HRM systems and processes.” she shared.
Moreover, the Human Resource Management and Development Office Head, Ms. Mary Grace O. Buiza, MS, expressed optimism during her closing message about acquiring the accreditation that Dr. Ganiera aspired to.
“Although at the start, it’s a little bit overwhelming, however, with the assurance of our CSC Field Director, with the help of Ms. Dharyl, and, of course, with the initiative of our College President, I know this endeavor will be possible… So with that bayanihan spirit that we have shown when we had our AACCUP Accreditation, I know this HRM Accreditation would be possible,” Buiza expressed.
This initiative demonstrates NBSC’s commitment to continuous improvement in human resource management practices and its dedication to providing employees with a high-quality and efficient working environment.
